Arrrghh!! On the street, looking for a new gig!!

I hate the saying "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

Have you ever gotten lemon juice in an open wound? Stings like hell, huh?

Being out of work is like having an open wound with no health insurance. I was downsized due to the economy after doing a good job. Now I have reached leper status (well not really, no body parts have fallen off), but people still seem to shy away. It is easy to get down on yourself when you want to work and can't. I'm trying to do some consulting to make ends meet, have now applied for unemployment and check the want ads, Craigs List and other venues most days looking for something. There just isn't much out there these days.

Each morning I try to get up at 8am, do my diiligence toward my consulting work promotion, but the future is cloudy and as of today I don't see much hope on the near horizon.

I whine a little, but I know there are people worse off than I am. This is why I am writing this blog. To be honest, I hope it catches and employers attention, but I also hope it is a place where we (the jobless) can chat a bit, bitch about the government and generally support eachother in our search!
