Dumb Down My Resume?

Holy crap!

A recruiter told me that I need to minimize all the management experience so employers would look at me more seriously. Now doesn't that seem backward? I did it, but it sure sticks in my craw.

You spend all these years establishing yourself then you have to hide your achievements. Seems like employers (if there are any out there) would love to snag someone with a lot of rode under their wheels and take advantage of that longevity.

I am at a loss about that one. Still I'll play the game. I just want the chance to show what I can do. When the time comes, hopefully I will have shone enough that the performance will be recognized and the chance for advancement is there.
